Frequently Asked Questions
Is it safe to bring my baby to a chiropractor?
Yes. The techniques I use are gentle and specifically designed for babies. They are nothing like the adjustments you might associate with adult chiropractic care. I have 25 years of experience and postgraduate training in paediatric chiropractic care.
My baby seems fine — do they still need to be checked?
Birth is a big event for a baby's body regardless of how smoothly it goes. Many parents bring their babies in not because something is obviously wrong, but because they want to give them the best possible start. Early nervous system care may support how well your baby feeds, settles and develops.
How long will it take to see results?
Every baby is different. Many babies respond quickly, especially newborns. Some concerns, like a flat spot developing on the head, may take several months of consistent care to see change. I'll always give you an honest picture of what to expect for your baby specifically.
Do you only see babies?
Babies are my passion and my focus, but chiropractic care is for everyone. I also see neurodivergent children, older children, pregnant mamas and adults at Chiropractic Life, Casuarina.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed. You can book directly online, by phone or by email. Many of the babies I see come through word of mouth from other mamas or from health professionals in the maternal care community.
Does private health insurance cover the visit?
Most private health funds cover chiropractic care. I'd recommend checking with your insurer directly to understand your level of cover and any out of pocket costs.
